In diesem siebten Programm seines seit 2022 laufenden Work in progress 51 % \u2013 Fantastische Musik von Frauen<\/strong> feiert das Kairos Quartett den 60. Geburtstag der australischen Komponistin Liza Lim \u2013 einer der bedeutendsten Komponistinnen unserer Zeit, mit der das Quartett seit 1998 zusammenarbeitet. Lim gilt international als Schl\u00fcsselfigur f\u00fcr die Verbindung von zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Musik, kultureller Hybridit\u00e4t und \u00f6kologischer Denkweisen. Ihre Kompositionen erkunden die Materialit\u00e4t von Klang und die poetische Kraft von F\u00e4den, Knoten und Geflechten \u2013 Sinnbilder f\u00fcr Beziehungen, Erinnerung und Transformation. Das Programm versammelt neben zwei zentralen Werken von Lim weitere bedeutende Stimmen der Gegenwart, die f\u00fcr einen unverwechselbaren Reichtum an Klangsprachen stehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lim verbindet in Weaver\u2019s Knot<\/em> und String Creatures<\/em> komplexe klangliche Prozesse mit kraftvollen Bildern von Verflechtung, Spannung und Transformation \u2013 das Quartett erscheint als lebendige, vielgestaltige Kreatur. Beide St\u00fccke sind zudem beeinflusst von volksmusikalischen Spieltechniken, n\u00e4mlich der der norwegischen Hardanger-Fiedel bzw. der \u201echopping\u201c-Technik des Bluegrass. Terranova erschafft in Sentire con tatto<\/em> eine sinnlich-haptische Klangwelt, in der feinste Texturen, Schichtungen und Ger\u00e4uschqualit\u00e4ten das Streichquartett in einen atmenden Organismus verwandeln. Vrhunc schenkt dem Kairos Quartett zum Jubil\u00e4um zwei \u201ekomponierte Interpretationen\u201c Bach\u2019scher Werke in Form von Miniaturen; sie werden den urspr\u00fcnglichen Affekt verst\u00e4rken, verfremden und verdichten und damit in unsere Zeit bringen. In der Klanglichkeit von Vrhunc wird die Essenz Bachs erinnernd erhalten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
