Mit dem Programm \u201eHorizont auf hoher See\u201c pr\u00e4sentiert das Kairos Quartett ein besonders farbenreiches Programm, das der Musik von Komponistinnen insbesondere der gro\u00dfartigen Komponistin Younghi Pagh-Paan als einer der Pionierinnen der weiblichen zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Musik gewidmet ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Kairos Quartett bezieht in seine Konzerte seit Jahren immer mehr Musik von Komponistinnen ein, aber in diesem Programm sollen sie einmal voll auf ihre Kosten kommen. Das Programm fokussiert u.a. auf Themen der Diversit\u00e4tsdiskussion. Dabei verzweigen und begegnen sich die Wege des Quartetts im Austausch untereinander mit jenen der Komponierenden, deren St\u00fccke gespielt werden, mit den Menschen, die diese Auff\u00fchrungen besuchen sowie mit den Veranstaltungsorten, wo sie aufgef\u00fchrt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am Vortag des Konzerts bietet das Kairos Quartett einen Workshop f\u00fcr Sch\u00fclerInnen der Klasse 6 c der Brandenburger Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric-Joliot-Curie-Schule an. Er speist sich aus Essenzen zweier anderer St\u00fccke des Programms, Lisa Streichs \u201eSternenstill\u201c und Carola Bauckholts \u201eLichtung\u201c. Die Sch\u00fclerInnen k\u00f6nnen sich voll einbringen und zum Abschluss ihr Arbeitsergebnis auff\u00fchren. Am Samstag k\u00f6nnen die Sch\u00fclerInnen gemeinsam mit ihren Eltern das Konzert besuchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seit seiner Gr\u00fcndung im Jahr 1996 entwickelte sich das Kairos Quartett zu einem der international t\u00e4tigen Leuchtturm-Ensembles in der Szene der zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Musik. Zahlreiche Urauff\u00fchrungen zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Kompositionen sowie detailgetreue Interpretationen von dramaturgisch starken Programmen, die oft in engem Kontakt mit Komponierenden Und Veranstaltenden kuratiert werden, f\u00fchrten u. a. zum Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik (Haas-Quartette) und erm\u00f6glichten die Entfaltung einer weltweiten Karriere (Biennale di Venezia, Cervantino Festival Mexiko, Internationalen Ferienkursen in Darmstadt, Festival d\u2019Automne \u00e1 Paris, MaerzMusik, Salzburger Festspiele, Warschauer Herbst und Wien Modern).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vor der Pandemie deb\u00fctierte das Quartett beim Festival \u201eSoundBridge\u201c in Malaysia und in der Hamburger Elbphilharmonie in der NDR-Reihe \u201eDas Neue Werk\u201c mit Unsuk Chin und reiste 2018 und 2019 nach China, im letzten Jahr zum Centro Ricerche Musicali nach Rom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2022\/23 pr\u00e4sentiert das Kairos Quartett deutschlandweit die Veranstaltungsreihe LUFT I WURZELN mit verschiedenen thematischen Schwerpunkten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
